Whether you’re keeping up your marathon training while traveling or trying to run off the extra calories consumed in Dingle town, these were some of my favorite “sightseeing runs” when I stayed at Harriet’s Cottage (January 2025).
Dingle Lighthouse Trail
This flat out and back trail from the center of town allows for beautiful Dingle beach views. I started from Garvey’s Sports and Leisure after picking up a new running vest - I didn’t have enough layers for windy Irish weather!
Take The Tracks to Mail Road to Cooleen which dumps right onto Dingle Coast walk. Follow the coastal trail towards the stone castle known as Hussey's Folly. The trail continues to the lighthouse, where you can take the stone stairs down to watch the waves before heading back to town.

Dingle Bay Views
For a quick trail run from Harriet’s cottage, head west on Goat Street (away from Dingle town) and take a right on Cairn Ard (450m). Past the fire station, you’ll see a trail on the right hand side. There is a sheep gate that you can pass through, just make sure to latch properly as you come and go. A hefty climb up the pasture rewards you with picturesque views of Dingle Bay.

Eask Tower for hill repeats
The views are worth the 300 foot elevation gain! Quick 1.3 kilometer single track up with a few gates to keep the sheep where they belong.
Bring cash for the €2/person fee for the paybox by the trail entrance.
