BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS

By confirming your booking with Harriet’s Cottage, the lead guest agrees to the booking's terms and conditions. It is the lead guest’s responsibility to ensure that all members of the party are informed of and aware of these terms.

Agreement and Acceptance

By booking accommodation at Harriet’s Cottage (25 Fairfield Dingle, Ireland) you (the “Guest”) agree to abide by these terms and conditions. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Harriet’s Cottage. It is the guest’s responsibility to alert all staying guests within the overall group to be aware of these. Please note we do not host Party groups.

 

Reservation & Payment

  • A booking is confirmed once we receive the deposit payment of 50% of the total cost.

  • The remaining balance must be paid 60 days prior to check-in. Failure to pay the balance by the due date may result in cancellation.

  • Payment methods accepted include credit card, bank transfer or cash (subject to approval by Harriet’s Cottage).

 

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations made 60 days or more before check-in will receive a refund of any monies paid. Note this may be slightly more /less due to currency varying conversation rates (if applicable). Harriet’s Cottage is not responsible for any slight variation.

  • Cancellations made within 60 days of check-in will not be refunded.

  • No-shows or early departures are non-refundable.

 

Occupancy & Guest Responsibilities

  • The rental property is limited to a maximum of 6 guests. Unauthorized guests are not permitted.

  • The guest(s), shall take all reasonable and proper care of the property and contents (including but not limited to: furniture, pictures, fittings, fixtures, and effects in or on the property). It is expected that the guest(s),  shall leave the property and all assets of and within said property in the condition with respect to state of repair, cleanliness, and tidiness, in which it was received at check-in.

  • Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the property, due to possible fire hazards. Smoking is allowed in the back gardens as long as cigarettes are properly extinguished and disposed of in the ash tray. Under no circumstances, may the guest(s), or his/her guests dispose of their cigarettes on the floors, grounds, private lawns, or public common areas of the premises.

  • Right of Entry: While we do our best to respect the privacy of our guests, there are times in which it is required that we access our properties. Harriet’s Cottage reserves the right to access our properties at all times for the purpose of repairs, possible emergencies or noise disturbance.

  • Heating and Electricity: We have a utility fair usage policy to create a hassle free environment for the lead guest and to ensure that the guests heating and electricity usage is not excessive and kept within reasonable, sensible and environmentally friendly limits. If the limits are exceeded and energy usage has be excessive, we reserved the right to charge for excess usage.

 

Check-in and Check-out

  • Check-in is from 3.00pm on the day of arrival.

  • Check-out is by 10.00am on the day of departure.

  • Late check-out requests must be arranged in advance (not always possible) and may incur additional charges.

 

Wi-Fi and Internet Access

  • Complimentary Wi-Fi is provided for Guests’ convenience. However, due to the rural nature of our property, outages or reduced speeds may occur due to factors beyond our control (e.g., weather or service provider issues).

  • While we strive to address any issues promptly, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access to the internet and are not liable for any inconvenience caused by outages.

 

House Rules

  • Quiet hours are observed between 10.00pm and 9.00am.

  • Pets policy: Dogs (max 2) are permitted subject to prior approval by Harriet’s Cottage

  • Please respect our neighbors and avoid disturbances.

 

Force Majeure

We are not liable for cancellations, delays, or interruptions caused by events beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, or government actions.

 

Liability

Guests use the property at their own risk. Harriet’s Cottage is not liable for any loss or damage to any of the guest(s), property or personal property of the guest or visitors regardless of cause. Guests are advised to have travel insurance. The guest(s), his/her guests and/or visitors will hold Harriet’s Cottage, harmless for any personal injury/death however sustained, where the management, owner(s), and/or their employees have used reasonable care, and/or when caused by the fault or negligence of the party affected or other member(s) of the party, and includes such acts such as inadequate supervision of children; and/or when caused by the fault of a 3rd party, events that are defined as “Acts of God”, or an event that could not have been reasonably foreseen or avoided.

 

Privacy Policy

We collect personal data solely for the purpose of managing bookings and communicating with guests. Your data will not be shared with third parties without consent.

 

Governing Law

This agreement shall be governed by the laws of The Republic of Ireland]. Any disputes shall be resolved within this jurisdiction.
